ELECTRONIC SHEEP COUNTER

Designed For Use in the Shearing Shed

STOCKOUNT consists of a counter and display unit, a small sensor unit , a tiny beam sender and 12 volt power converter. The sensor is mounted on the outer side of one side of the chute so that the sensor's "eye" has clear vision through a hole in the chute wall across to the sender mounted in the opposite side wall of the chute. An infra-red beam is broken as each animal passes through, and the display unit mounted near the shearer registers the number of sheep that have been shorn.

Stockount operates from mains or 12 volt battery power and in the event of a power failure there is no need to worry that the count might be lost as the total is permanently saved inside the display. Normal counting operation and display continues when power is restored.
